Desert Dream'n

It has been a long day of travel, but we are more than halfway to Africa. We departed Seattle, flew north into Taloyak, Canada, and up over the north pole at more than 550 miles per hour. Even Santa couldn't catch us. Speaking of Santa, he pulled up next our plane and cried, "GIVE ME MILK AND COOOOOOKKkiieeeess:[" We ditched him over Bodo, Norway and cut over to St. Petersburg and Moscow before heading south over Baku, Azerbaijan and the Caspian Sea. We began our decent into Abu Dhabi over the Straight of Hormuz, shortly after passing over Tehran, Iran. That was close!

All told, the first leg of our journey was 7,793 miles. Along the way Dad and I played Jelly Checkers, Battleship, and Tetris. I also listened to Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian, and watched a couple of Marvel movies, and still managed to get a nap! I woke up with dragon breath and fur growing on my teeth: nothing that a stick gum won't take care of.

We are now in Dubai and will catch our flight to Johannesburg, South Africa in a couple of hours.

Salam,

Sheik Oscar
